Keynote: Bill Thorndike.

Bill Thorndike is the President and Chairman of his family owned metals fabrication business, Medford Fabrication. The company, conducting business since the mid- 1940's offers a diverse range of metals fabrication, assembly, installation and finishing services. It operates two facilities in the Medford area with 80 full time employees, and supplies multinational companies throughout the globe. Bill has served as chair to organizations such as The Oregon Community Foundation, SAIF Corporation, Oregon Metals Industry Council, Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, and many others. In December of 200 1, he was appointed to the Port of Portland Commission, and in September of 2007 he was appointed Chair of the Oregon Health Fund Board. He is currently the Chair of Pacific Retirement Services. Bill serves on both the SMART Board of Directors and the Rogue Valley SMART Leadership Council. He has over a decade of experience in education reform, including a term of service as chair of the Governor's Quality Education Commission. Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lewis & Clark College, and is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum - Oregon Chapter, 1994.
